Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is a Brit-American sitar player and music artist. She received the British House of Commons' Shield as the youngest, and also the first female recipient. Alongside nine Grammy nominations, she was also the first Indian-born musician to present at and perform at the award ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is among India's most promising stars on the sitar. She is the student and child of Ravi Shankar. Born in London in 1982. She was a young girl who travelled from London in London and New Delhi. The first time she performed was in New Delhi at the tender age of 13. After moving to Encinitas, the state of California, in 1999 she earned the high-school certificate. Although she is still very young Anouskha is an accomplished performer and recording record. She has been accompanying her father in the stage for a long time. Her debut solo album, Anourag, was released in 1998. A year later, she dropped the Grammy nomination-winning Live on stage at Carnegie Hall. Alongside performing at all of the largest venues, she also has a long stage career. The career of Anoushka doesn't only involve music. She released Bapi the Love of My Life in the year 2002. Anoushka shankar is an English native who lived her early days split between London, Delhi and California. She started learning to play the guitar when she was nine years old and performed on the sitar to commemorate the 75th anniversary of her father's birth in Delhi just four years after. The father of Anoushka travelled the world with her and she was able to gain many new opportunities. As she was in her teens, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD concert. She was the youngest and sole female winner of the House of Commons Shield awarded by the British Parliament to recognize her artistry and musicianship as a leading musician of in the Asian Arts.
